Is Shakespeare Relevant Today?

Yes I think that Shakespeare is relevant today because he has helped make the English language stronger  also his plays can connect to a lot of people in today's society. Although your cant exactly understand some of his plays it helps grow the English vocabulary.

Shakespearean Sonnet

My hat where have you gone for days I've longed
Its almost spring I need you for the sun
Could it have been my cat who has took you
She seems to cling to all of my belongings
While sleeping in the night she drags off clothes
Including my cap where has it gone, away
When the light comes I shall look everywhere
Ive trapped the cat, while I look for the cap
She knows I'm suspecting her for the miss
She has been taking a nap in her trap
My worries are growing I'm loosing hope
I stand on the porch and stare at a shrub
Finally there it is what fun that was
Where has my belt gone let the search begin

2 characters at the town meeting

At the town meeting yesterday I meet a doctor who had 4 kids, supposed to be 5 but one died at the age of 5 from the plague. He was is wealthy and said yes for the new law, he said that he has enough money to support people that need it.
I also met the plague, it likes to make people sick and is contagious, and starts through the bite of an insect.

opinion on new law

Dear King,
They new law that gives shouldn't be passed because that would mean I need to pay more money for something that doesn't effect me. And it is not fair for me to have to pay for other people when the out come won't have anything to do with me.

Porblem of being a witch

Now that people believe I am a witch I am always threatened, people don't want to be close to me because they think I will spread disease. To avoid these I normally just stay home so that I don't need to be reminded on how nobody will talk or be close to me, and I won't be threatened as much at my home.

Daily Life of a witch

I wake up scared every day that I'm going to get caught and hung I am a widow, I live by my self with nobody to protect me. Every one in this town thinks I am a witch, they came to my house in the middle of the night one day and threatened me with torches and pitch forks. I'm just scared for what might happen next. They will want to hang me soon, they think I'm spreading diseases and creating fire and no one dares to get close to me.

Witch Biography

During the Elizabethan Era witches were looked down on, there were witch hunts where they would hunt witches and harass them with torches and other weapons. Women that were often blamed of being witches were old, poor, single or a widow and they were executed by being hung. Witches were often blamed for the spread of the black death (a deadly disease which kill a lot of humans during the Elizabethan Era), other illnesses, diseases. They were also thought to have been able to create fires, and start thunderstorms.  And people wanted to get rid of the witches so that the plague would end. Witches could either be men or women but only 23 men were accused and 247 women were accused.
